Don't Waver

Writer's picture: JLNJLN

Romans 4:20-21 NLT

Abraham never wavered in believing God's promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he  brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.

How about you? Are you fully convinced? The NIV version of the same verse says "fully persuaded".

Definitions:

Fully - full manner or measure, completely.

Convinced - to bring to belief or course of action

Persuaded - to win over to a belief or to a course of action.

Does this describe your faith? Are you so completely sold out for Jesus that is not only directs your course but also drives you to action?

If this these definitions and words don't describe your faith then it's time to get back into the Word of God and evaluate His promises. His promises should excite us so much that we are driven to action - to follow his Word, to share His promises and that our compass setting for the course of our life always points directly to the Bible.

Standing astride a barbed wire fence only gives us a pain in the backside. If we are going to follow Christ we must get off the fence and be fully convinced that God can and will do what He has promised! That is where we find true life.

Romans 1:16-17 NLT

For I am not ashamed of the Good News about Christ, It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes - the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, "It is through faith that a righteous person has life".
