Isaiah 9:5-7
For a child is born to us, a son given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies WILL MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
At the time of Jesus' birth everything God had previously spoken about it had to be fulfilled. More prophecies than we can cover here and now. But each one of them was completely fulfilled. This one from Isaiah 9 will be no different. At the right time, when everything the Word of God has spoken of about our coming King has come to fulfillment Jesus will pick up the scepter and rule as is His right. According to Bible prophecy we are living in "Biblical times". Prophecy spoken and recorded centuries ago are being fulfilled at a rapid rate right before our eyes.
If you know Jesus as your Savior - we should be living every day with the anticipation of his upcoming revealing! May this Christmas find you celebrating Jesus' birth but also looking forward to the next amazing thing to be fulfilled for us - the revealing of the Messiah to his Church.
If you don't know him, the time is soon. Look for him while he may be found and ask him for the eternal life only he can offer. Give him your heart. He is waiting for you.
THE LORD WILL MAKE THIS HAPPEN! Jesus will come!
