1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man ; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
Having been in the painting business over the years, has given me a different perspective on the beauty of vines growing on residential houses and or anything that is to be painted…
Preparation is the back bone of most things in life that we must do in order to be successful…and painting is no exception…these vines are beautiful and seem to be harmless ; but after awhile they grow under the siding, and window casements…making cracks in the wood and leaving them open to the rain, which starts to rot the wood casings and or the siding…the growth is overwhelming and is very hard to get rid of it…
That’s the way sin can start in our lives, it all looks good at the first glance…then we grow deeper into the sin , causing it to destroy our families, our jobs, our church life…when our relationship with God isn’t right, our whole lives will suffer…so when we are tempted to be lead into ways that are not of God, acknowledge it and ask God to give you a way out …don't allow the seed of sin to be planted... then it will not overcome you like a vine that looks good but destroys whatever it is attached onto…
Father, when tempted please convict us of our weakness and give us the strength to avoid temptation… and thank You for giving us a way out of temptation for the asking…
