The Ark of Jesus

Writer's picture: JLNJLN

Luke 17:26 - When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah's day.

Vs. 28 - And the world will be as it was in the days of Lot.

Luke 21 gives an account of many of the signs Jesus spoke of that we will see at the end of this age, signs that indicate his return is near. As we read through these and are literally watching them unfold daily before our eyes we must remain steadfast in our faith in Jesus and remember a couple major points from Noah and Lot's days.

1. The world had become "corrupt and violent" to the point that God wouldn't tolerate it any longer but Noah and Lot remained faithful to the Lord - Noah was "the only righteous one" of that time.

2. Because of their faith in the Living God they were saved before His wrath destroyed the evil and corrupt world or place. The Lord closed the door to the Ark rescuing Noah and his family before the rain started for the flood. Lot and his family escaped to a nearby village before Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by fire and burning sulfur.

Lot was even led out by the hand. The angel of the Lord told Lot "Hurry! Escape to it (the nearby village), for we can do nothing until you arrive there."

Take heart today, if you are a disciple of Jesus Christ, before Satan's short rule and the following wrath of God that consumes this evil and corrupt world and defeats Satan once and for all, He will make sure you are safely sealed in the Ark (or promise) of Jesus and have arrived safely to our eternal home in the presence of our Living God and Living Savior!

This would be a good time to make sure you are "in" Christ - for he is the only Righteous One who can deliver us. (See Romans 10:9-13)
