Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Lately I have found myself so busy that God’s voice has become hard to hear…scheduling weekly chores to be done, bi-weekly blogs, and working on other encouraging things has left me deaf to hearing Gods voice…when we make other things a priority, even doing work for the Lord…our hearing of Gods voice will become harder to hear…
I felt like there wasn’t any progress being made in those things that I held more important than listening to Him…and that means not just reading His Word but taking the time to meditate on it, and waiting on Him to reveal His instructions…we speak to God through prayer but the primary way God speaks to us is through His Word…sometimes we must just slow down and meditate on His Word…
when we make listening to Him secondary we won’t be successful at anything we are trying to do…making prayer and listening to God a priority will keep your ears opened to His instruction…then your hearing will become more sensitive to His voice…turn down the volume of the world and turn up the volume on God…
Father God, bless us with the discipline to keep our ears opened to Your voice…in hearing Your voice for instructions…and thank You for loving us and never giving up on us…
